The stately design of this inviting family room enjoys the play of Farmhouse furnishing and Modern solutions in an unexpected way defined by additional Mid-Century Modern and Industrial accents slightly perceived under the veil of comfort. With the mandatory untreated wood surface, a relatively warm color scheme on a neutral background, and sizable furniture, the design project tries to resonate with the welcoming feel within cottage interiors, standing out with a black shiplap wall fireplace as the hub of both traditional and modern. Comfortable seats, appealing decor with lots of live plants in basket pots, and the large loft windows make for a fantastic combination in a space meant to diffuse the peaceful farmland life within the urban hustle.
This project design has been put together for a flat studio apartment, whose owners, a young couple, spend less time at home since they travel a lot due to work reasons. The designer tried to meet their expectations for a modern and inviting interior by smartly choosing an overall light palette and glass surfaces to expand the room borders, setting up a living area that easily transforms into a sleeping one during the night, arranging a comfortable dining space for inviting friends over, and going with a functional kitchen that becomes the main focus with its partial rose gold finish alongside the Marquina Black marble accent wall in the relaxation area.
The dining room and the living room are separated by a wall and a doorway in this project. However, a light color code with a confident dominance of creamy, white, and smoky gray makes us perceive them as a single space. The soft matte sheen of the gold metal frames of dining chairs and consoles also adds harmony to this symphony of light, sophistication, and some unexpected contrasting textures.
Putting the accent on calm neutrals, rounded-edge furniture, and soft texture, this contemporary living room achieves what every homeowner strives for in the interior today - comfort. With an act of similar courage, minimalism reigns over the layout so that functionality can fully gain its rights. To ensure this comfy escape still has close ties with nature, a large biophilic accent finds its way on one of the walls, which, not by coincidence, reflects the same rounded edges. Curves, functionality, and biophilic accessories bring this interior to the latest contemporary level.
When thinking over this spacious living room of a regular rectangular shape, the designer paid tribute to three styles, Antique, Modern, and Rustic. The modern base and decor with a reference to mid-century create a surprisingly harmonious union with monumental finishes, smooth lines of arches, and charming details as if borrowed from a mountain chalet.
The design approach to this interior is inspired by the balance between beige and gray that spreads all over the open-plan living room with a dining area, combined with a mini-hallway. The main focus is the cutting-edge Industrial fireplace with a Rustic appeal that contrasts the Mid-Century Modern-inspired relaxation space. A prevalence of round shapes can be noticed throughout the entire interior, particularly when the accent wall with illusionary circles sets a Modern vibe and makes sure it reaches every room angle.
The split-level interior of the vacation cottage reveals a very spacious and bright room that offers an updated perspective on the use of natural materials peculiar to a cottage. Although far from the city hustle, the design bears a slightly urban feel yet successfully integrates serenity and connection with nature. The smart design that combines the relaxation and dining areas is perfect for hosting guests during the day, while the open-floor interior and the additional bedroom for the homeowners erase any borders and bring the functional areas to a single space during the night.
The timeless white and gray alongside classy marble and textured wood set the perfect background for a Modern open-concept interior that falls in love with vibrancy in the living room, stays true to contemporaneity in the kitchen, and embraces elegance in the dining area. The impartial space between the three functional areas radiates neutrality yet borrows a little from each.
An exquisitely modern interior with an open floor plan reveals the beauty of contrasting mixes between neutral and luxurious, bathed in full natural light. The overall light color palette diluted with the most elegant gold splashes shows that elegance always finds its way in contemporary interiors alongside the versatile marble surfaces.
With a black and off-white background, minimalist layout and elegant details, sleek lines and round edges, raw surfaces and soft textures, this spacious interior that smartly pairs two functional areas reaches state of the art. The solutions integrated into this room are designed for a family whose members strive for contemporaneity while appreciating elegant masterpieces.
The Industrial veil that covers the open-floor interior, which effortlessly smooths the line between the kitchen and seating area, hides the most refined Classic trace that reveals its beauty on spots painted in white. Still, the main focus is on exceptionally contemporary colors, impressively raw surfaces, and the standout brick accent wall that partners with the fireplace for an original approach to an apartment interior.
An irreplaceable feel of formality enters the interior once the Classic background starts this play of styles. The following Modern layout, slightly bold shades, and Industrial textures integrate the contemporary sense of self-expression, while the finest touch of warm wood surfaces and the irreplaceable comfort radiated by the fireplace adds to the sophistication of this interior. So eclectic yet harmonious, the combination of different views on beauty and comfort adapts the open-floor room to a wide range of preferences, which works particularly well for couples with different perspectives on style.
