America’s most beloved interior designs you’ll like too

The way we feel about the interior of our home is what dictates how comfortable we feel within it. Our home’s design is an extension of our personalities as well. Over time, it’s not uncommon for homeowners to feel bored of their current layout. It is also not uncommon for homeowners to get swept away in trends or the ease of fast fashion as it pertains to home décor. If you’re looking for a breath of fresh air and a new aesthetic, there are a lot of different types of interior designs you can choose from. In this post, we’ll be covering the most liked interior designs in the United States.

Figure out the financing

Redoing the interior design of your home is undoubtedly going to cost its fair share of money. You might not have enough funds to spare for such a project. However, you can get your hands on money you need rather quickly by taking out a personal loan. A personal loan can be used to finance what you need, which means it can be put towards renovating the interior design of your home. Keep in mind that not every interior design is going to cost the same. You also might not even go all out and would rather opt to simply replace the furniture. Make sure to create a solid budget before taking out the loan. It’s also in your best interest to take a look at your credit as well. A high score and a near-perfect history is absolutely paramount when it comes to taking out a loan of any kind. If you have a low score, pay off your debt and close any unused credit cards you don’t need.

Modern design

In terms of interior design, the modern style doesn’t mean what’s currently considered modern in today’s standards. It’s actually referring to the Modernism movement. This was a movement that dates back to the 1920s. This is a pretty specific type of interior design and is believed to have been founded by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. The style typically consists of metal, glass, steel and wood. The colors are usually neutral and monochromatic, like beige, white and black. The furniture is typically simple and off the floor, so to speak.

Contemporary style

Contemporary is similar to the Modern style as it shouldn’t be confused with the other. Unlike the Modern design, a contemporary style is geared towards more up to date interior design trends and fads. It’s not a set trend either; it’s one where it constantly adapts to newer additions over time. The colors you can expect to see in this style are usually black, cream, brown and white. As for the materials, the furniture is typically composed of stainless steel, glass and wood. When going into a contemporary style, you want to have an uncluttered, open space.

Rustic style

Nothing says old school and natural than the rustic style. You know how cottages and older townhouses of wooden furniture, like countertops and cabinets? You can incorporate the same into your home. As you would expect, the furniture is completely made out of wood, but it can also be made out of stone as well. Gold, beige, green and brown are the most common colors.

Transitional

Transitional design is a mix of both modern and traditional. Fans of this aesthetic typically appreciate the timelessness of traditional décor but also enjoy adding in hints of trends in the overall design. When you are going for transitional style, think neutral color palettes and minimal accents. Clutter and bold colors are not typical in a transitional design. One of the best things about transitional design is that it offers a way to prioritize comfort and warmth in your home without looking sloppy or overdone.

Minimalist

Some people find this style to be a little bit cold but there are ways to achieve a minimalist design style that can still leave your space feeling inviting and not too sterile. Some keywords to think about here would be sleek, simple, and refined. Those that gravitate towards a minimalist home are typically those who enjoy an orderly space and who want their home to always look pulled together, hence, eliminate clutter and small décor items as much as possible.

Coastal

Once reserved strictly for summer homes and beach houses, the coastal aesthetic is quickly becoming one of the most sought-after everyday design trends. This does not mean that your entire home has to be covered in seashells either, and in fact, it probably should not be. Think instead about the colors of the water and the coast and the breezy nature of living on the water and let those thoughts influence your design. Light and bright is the goal here but be careful not to tip too far over towards the themed side of things.
